We just got some pretty cool news about some travel plans related to school that we’ll be making in March of next year. We’ll be renting a big old bus and heading off to the US to visit Steinway & Sons in New York and Mason & Hamlin near Boston. These are two of the very few remaining companies still making pianos on North America - they’ve managed to soldier on somehow. Right now I’m reading cool book called Piano - the Making of a Steinway Concert Grand, so it will be fun to see all these things I am reading about. I’ve never visited NYC but have always wanted to so I’m really looking forward to ti.
Also in March we’re heading off way up into the Michigan upper peninsula to work at a performing arts school there call Interlochen.
